Wesley Community Clean-UpNovember 2014
As part of a community involvement initiative, Outland Camp Manager, Trish Porter recently organized a community clean-up at the Wesley Interim Housing Community. Wesley is one of three tribes which comprise the Stoney Nakoda First Nation, and the Housing Community assists those First Nations people affected by the 2013 Calgary Flooding.
The community initiative was in part a social event, encouraging cooperation and interaction between residents. Prizes were given to children who participated and a draw was held for participating adults. The clean-up fostered positive feelings among the participants, and all the residents who call the Wesley Interim Housing Community home.
