Outland Staff Rescues Family in Vehicle CollisionAugust 2014
Outland would like to recognize the efforts of two employees, Noel-Luc Geoffroy and Lolita Pereira for their bravery and quick thinking on July 26, 2014 when they came upon a serious motor vehicle collision on their way to work.
An oncoming car had lost control, crossed the median and struck the driver side of a truck carrying a couple and their daughter, causing the rollover of the truck and attached trailer. The car had pushed the floor boards of the Ford pickup upwards, causing a life-threatening injury to the right leg of the driver. Noel was able to pull the girl from the truck, and Lolita comforted her while Noel administered medical aid to the couple until paramedics and emergency crews arrived. According to all witnesses, Noel’s quick action was directly responsible for saving both the leg and the life of the driver.
The family is in recovery and are very grateful to Noel and Lolita for coming to the rescue that day, calling them true heroes.
Outland commends Noel and Lolita for their valor and is proud to have them on our team.
