Tangmaarvik completes 35,000 Square Foot Modular FacilityJanuary 2012
Tangmaarvik Inland Camp Services (Inuit owned and based in Baker Lake, Nunavut) completed a 35,000 square foot remote modular facility installation in 115 days for Agnico-Eagle, Meadowbank. The remote site facility included - kitchen, food storage, dining area, security area, training rooms, offices, commissary, luggage room, coat room and a large main camp entrance. The modular facility is a two level structure built on a steel frame and pile system. The facility contract was awarded to Tangmaarvik in late April, the modules were manufactured through the spring/summer and delivered to the AEM Meadowbank remote camp site by early September. Tangmaarvik has been operating In Canada' Arctic since 2007. Tankmaarvik is an Inuit based company operating out of Baker Lake, Nunavut concentrating on camp services to remote sites. The design, engineering, fabrication and installation project was completed on time (for Christmas dinner) and on a fixed budget.
